This essay details the investment in time, money, and commitment required to earn a private pilot's license. Recommended reading for anyone interested in learning to fly.

Over in Galleries, our illustrious Club President has contributed some photos from the 2010 EFC Safety Seminar, held at the Detroit Yacht Club. The annual Club seminar is a mini-lecture and knowledge exchange session in which we review operating procedures, discuss any safety-related incidents from the past year (of which there were exactly zero!), and hold an open forum for members to share their flying experiences. Oh, and enjoy very good meals and libations, thanks to the outstanding DYC catering staff. A good time was had by all, as usual!

Due to heavy storms forecast for the 1st, the plane wash has been rescheduled for Sat. 5/15, at 9 AM.
