First blog post

So here's my first blog entry. I'm picturing this as an area where members can share experiences, techniques, trip records, places to go, things to do, or whatever members might want to share with the world. Everybody has access to their own journal page.
The one real downside so far is the posting process. For anything beyond simple text, frankly, it sucks; you need significant knowledge of HTML to create complex stuff like photo pages and such. I'm trying to get it to the point where someone can compose a page in Word or (preferably) OpenOffice, save it as HTML, and cut / paste the raw HTML into the content builder. There are also allegedly some import tools out there that'll let you upload files directly.
Sum of topic: It's a work in progress, but there's a lot of progress possible, and planned. Stay tuned.
