Status 6/5
I'm down to three squawks; the only one surviving from the last update is, unfortunately, that notoriously lame event calendar. It looks like I'm going to have to modify that script to Get It Right. The others are nitpicks and don't affect site usability, so with the exception of the calendar, and pending member feedback, I'm calling the site ready to go. I'll be setting up member accounts tonight.
So far, the site has been tested with the following browsers:
Internet Explorer 6.x - OK
Internet Explorer 7.x - OK
Internet Explorer 8.0 beta - a couple of minor formatting glitches. Not to worry until 8.0 reaches release-candidate status, at which point the glitches might be gone.
(It SHOULD be OK under IE 5.5, but I haven't yet found a machine with 5.5 installed to try it. It'll probably look rather bad on any Internet Explorer prior to 5.5, but there are very few of those in use.)
Firefox 2.0.0.x - OK on Windows / Linux
Firefox 3.0 rc1 - OK on Windows / Linux
Firefox 3.0 rc2 - OK on Windows; untested elsewhere
Firefox 3.0 final - OK on Windows / Linux
Opera 9.2 - OK on Windows; untested elsewhere
If anyone out there uses a Mac and/or another browser, I'd be very interested in knowing what the site looks like in it. Please e-mail platform (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.), browser name / version, and screenshots of any problems you find.
