PTK ATIS frequency change
From the press release:
The ATIS frequency change scheduled for May 1, 2009, has been moved up. The new frequency will become effective Wednesday, March 11, 2009.
The ATIS frequency at PTK will change from 125.45 to 125.025. The change will be reflected in the 2010 Michigan Airport Directory.
In addition, the ATIS phone line 248-666-2621 is no longer in service. ASOS is available by calling 248-666-1818.
Red Bull Air Race returning to Detroit / Windsor!
Red Bull Air Race just announced that the third race of their 2009 World Championship series will be held on the Detroit / Windsor riverfront on June 13-14. The city of Windsor is sponsoring the event this year, so we can expect that the ops base will be at YQG. Four rookies will be joining the expanded roster of 15 pilots, and the organizers have made format changes they promise will make the race even more exciting than last year's.
Note from the Prez
In our efforts to be more of a family club, we are trying to have our meetings at member's residences or other socially attractive places and we have re-scheduled our monthly meetings to the second monday of the month, which usually has fewer conflicts. Bring your significant other to the monthly meeting!
